Fr Joe Food Exchange

Fr. Joseph Boyle in response to the hardship the people of the Garngad were experiencing, decided a Food Bank would be one way the Parish could help them.


On Friday 7th March 2014 at 2pm it opened in St. Roch's Hall.


Thanks are due to the volunteers who turn up every Friday to distribute food.

Parishioners of St. Roch's, the local schools, St. Roch's Primary, Royston Primary,

St. Roch's Secondary, the Green Brigade & numerous persons who wish to remain anonymous.

Information on benefits and housing problems have also been addressed by representatives from a number of different agencies have 


Anyone who wishes to use the Food Bank needs to get a voucher, these are available from:

Spireview Housing Office, Tharsis St.

Copperwork Housing Office, Tharsis St.

Blochairn Housing Office, Blochairn Rd.

MacMillan Cancer Support – Royston Library, Royston Rd.

(Tuesdays only)
